Review – Mario Badescu's Seaweed Cleansing Soap

Mario Badescu Seaweed Cleansing Soap - Reviews | MakeupAlley

Like his Seaweed Cleansing Lotion, Mario Badescu’s Seaweed Cleansing Soap was something I picked up for my grandma to try. She has dry, aged, sensitive skin but wanted something that would effectively cleanse and refresh her skin. This cleanser was in the dry skin-type area, but is effective for any skin type. The great thing about this cleanser is that it has little micro-beads, so it is gently exfoiliating. It is packed full of great ingredients and is described as “mineral-rich” on Mario Badescu’s website.

This Seaweed Cleansing soap worked great for my grandma at removing her makeup (she wears barely any) and cleansing her skin beautifully. It is also soap free and rinses off easily so for grandma, this was also a plus.

The ingredients of this cleanser are: Deionized Water, Bladderwrack Extract, Stearic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Diperlargonate, Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Polyglycerylmethacrylate, Seaweed Extract, Glyceril Isotearate, Lauramide DEA, Cetyl Alcohol, Triethanolamine, Quaternium-15, Imidazolydinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben. Now, a lot of these ingredients are a real mouthful to try to pronounce, which is typically unusual for Mario Badescu products–but grandma loves this cleanser. The Bladderwrack Extract is great for anti-aging and conditioning the skin. The Algae Extract is non pore-clogging and soothing, it also protects skin from irritation.

This great cleanser is available at retail beauty destinations like Ulta or directly through Mario Badescu’s website. Either way, the Seaweed Cleansing Soap is available in two sizes: 8 ounces for $12.00 and 16 ounces for $20.00. Grandma loved the Seaweed Cleansing …

Seaweed provides B vitamins, like B1 and B12, as well as E, K, and folic acid, which are taken up by plants grown in such enhanced soils. Adding seaweed extract increases the amount of chlorophyll in the leaves of plants. Seaweed also contains plant hormones that encourage the growth of foliage. The various compounds absorbed replace some of the water in plant cells making them more resistant to drought and frost damage as well as increasing the shelf life of …

Seaweed Fertilizers

Organic seaweed fertilizer is becoming increasingly popular among people looking for alternatives to chemical fertilizers. Not only are organic fertilizers better for the environment and your yard, but they are also closer to the fertilizers that nature provides for uncultivated plants, grasses and trees. Seaweed fertilizer is rich in nutrients while providing a safe place for your family to relax.

Some seaweed fertilizers are extracted from ascophyllum nodosum, a brown seaweed known as knotted wrack. This seaweed is found commonly on North Atlantic shores, along the coast of Canada. The seaweed is freshly harvested, dried and then carefully ground and milled into fertilizer.

Seaweed fertilizer is compatible with most other lawn products, such as fungicides, insecticides and other fertilizers. This fertilizer should be worked into the soil or growing medium as soon as possible in the spring. If you have perennials, work the fertilizer in at the end of the dormancy period. Seaweed fertilizers can be found in liquid, powder or granule form.

Building Stronger Plants

Seaweed fertilizer has been known not only to increase the growth of your plants, but their ability to stand up to hardships as well. Review – Mario Badescu's Seaweed Cleansing Lotion

Review: Mario Badescu Seaweed Cleansing Lotion – Princess LiselotteOriginally on the hunt for a new skincare regimen for my grandma, I rightfully so went straight to skincare expert and my personal favorite–Mario Badescu. For her sensitive skin I thought I’d start her on the seaweed line. Although it is geared to combination, dry, or sensitive skin, it’s gentle cleansing properties is what my grandma was looking for. It is an alcohol free toner, so it won’t dry out your skin. Some other great things about Mario Badescu’s Seaweed Cleansing Lotion is that is a great cleanser and disinfectant, it’s witch hazel formula cleans pore clogging residue away, and it is packed with great natural extracts for soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.

Now I personally use the Glycolic Grapefruit Toner or Glycolic Acid Toner. But grandma was searching for one that was effective yet gentle. This witch hazel based Seaweed Cleansing Lotion was right up her alley. It cleaned deeply yet gently and was alcohol free. The anti-inflammatory ingredients were great for her sensitive skin.

The ingredients of this cleansing lotion are: Deionized Water, Aloe Vera Gel, Bladderwrack Extract, Witch Hazel, and Algae Extract. The Bladderwrack Extract is an anti-aging skin conditioner with antioxidant properties. The Algae Extract also helps with soothing as well as moisturizing. Seaweed Lesson Plans for Children

Seaweed is a very interesting thing to talk to your students about. Many of your students may not know that many people eat this around the world. Here are some great activities to incorporate into your lesson plans all about seaweed.

A great activity about seaweed is to have your students make sushi. Purchase some seaweed at the grocery store along with some cream cheese and some sort of meat. Then show your students how to make seaweed. Show them how you place all the ingredients on the seaweed and then using a mat you roll it up into a log. Then you slice it into pieces. When you are all done making the sushi have your students try it by giving them each a piece. Then they can go home saying they tried seaweed!

Another great idea is to have your students make tissue paper seaweed. Give them some different colored tissue paper to draw seaweed on. Then they can decorate it and then cut it out. Next you can have your students place it in your classroom on a counter or you can have them hang it from your ceiling. Let them be creative in where they hang it. It will make your classroom look really cool once they are finished finding a place to put it.

Another great idea is to do a seaweed collage. Have your students look through magazines to find things that live in the sea. Then have them cut it out and place …
